Process Documentation

Honestly, when we were asked to propose three ideas, I knew right away I wanted to choose something I’m genuinely passionate about—otherwise, I wouldn’t enjoy the process or create something meaningful. To be honest, this is the first assignment where we actually get to work on something we truly like… and that’s really exciting!

1. PLAVE - Caligo Pt. 1
PLAVE is a virtual K-pop group that debuted in 2023, and they've been a personal obsession of mine this past year. What makes them stand out is that they choreograph and produce their own songs, despite being under a tech company rather than a traditional entertainment agency. My proposal aims to showcase their talent and promote positivity around them—especially after facing backlash and doxxing incidents. With their regular radio shows and YouTube lives, there’s always fresh behind-the-scenes content to work with.

2. Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint (Webtoon)
As a long-time fan of the original web novel, ORV has a special place in my heart. The story blends dystopia, fantasy, and tech in a powerful way. I’d love to translate this into an interactive website, using the subway as the main homepage visual—since it’s symbolic in the story. My passion for fiction and storytelling would help me build a site that immerses fans in this world.

3. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
Originally, I considered doing my personal portfolio, but I felt I lacked enough content. Instead, I leaned into a techy, glitchy aesthetic and chose Spider-Verse as my theme. I want to explore fan theories across different universes and maybe even include a page speculating on the next movie. There's so much to uncover and I’m excited to play with that multiverse chaos.

Below is my embedded Canva presentation featuring my chosen topic which is PLAVE.

Reflection:
I’m really excited to see how my website idea will come to life, especially using Adobe Animate. While researching animation techniques, I found that a lot of designers use GSAP for smooth, interactive motion—or tools like Spline and Three.js for 3D elements. That inspired me to try out GSAP and see how I can apply it to my own work. This project feels like the perfect chance to combine something I love with new skills I’m excited to explore. Hopefully, for the final project, everything turns out the way I imagined it!
